You are about to file a Request for Arbitration(Article 3). Before proceeding, please make sure you have available, in particular:
a) one or more documents which contain all of those elements listed at Articles 3.1 (a) through 3.1 (k) of the CIICA Rules in one or more of the following formats: txt, pdf, doc, docx, jpg, jpeg
(b) a credit card for payment of the registration fee, in the amount of $1,750, plus VAT if applicable (the registration fee must be paid by credit card if you file online)
Article 3.1 (b) - the names, address(es), telephone number(s), facsimile number(s) and email address(es), of the parties to the arbitration and their representatives, if any
Article 3.1(a) - the full name and all contact details (including postal address, e-mail address, telephone and facsimile numbers) of the respondent for the purpose of receiving delivery of all documentation in the arbitration; and the same particulars of the respondent's legal representatives (if any) and of all other parties to the arbitration
Article 3.1 (e) a brief statement describing the nature and circumstances of the dispute, specifying the relief claimed and, if possible, an initial quantification of the claim amount
Article 3.1(k) - a statement of any procedural matters for the arbitration (such as the arbitral seat, the language(s) of the arbitration, the number of arbitrators, their qualifications and identities) upon which the parties have already agreed in writing or in respect of which the Claimant makes any proposal under the Arbitration Agreement.
Article 3.1 (h) - unless the parties have agreed otherwise, a proposal for a sole arbitrator if the arbitration agreement provides for a sole arbitrator, or the nomination of an arbitrator if the arbitration agreement provides for three arbitrators
Article 3.4 - confirmation that copies of the Request (including all accompanying documents) have been or are being delivered to all other parties to the arbitration by one or more means to be identified specifically in such confirmation, to be supported then or as soon as possible thereafter by documentary proof of actual delivery (including the date of delivery) or, if actual delivery is demonstrated to be impossible, sufficient information as to any other effective form of notification. Confirmation that copies of this Request will be delivered to all other parties to the arbitration immediately
